The law of Income

September 10, 2018

Some people attribute financial success to luck, but I don't. Of course there are exceptions, but I believe that the majority of people who have success have achieved it as an outcome of a lot of hard work done behind the scenes. If you put a microscope up to the journey to becoming successful, what you will find time and time again is messy. Lots and lots of falling. Getting back up, going forward, learning from past mistakes, all the while growing. Constantly expanding, believing enough in the dream that first inspired steps, allowing this dream to keep pushing you forward even when it seems unattainable.

When you think of earning a lot of money, how does it make you feel? Most of us have a unique set of feelings that surround our belief about money, and many time these feelings are negative. Many times these beliefs are inherited from our parents. Here are some common ones: "Money is evil.", "If I become rich, I will become proud and become a snob.", or "I don't deserve wealth." - The belief system that you have surrounding money will greatly influence your success. In reality, wealth does not affect how kind of a person you will or won't be, BUT having money will allow you to use your specific gifts to give to the world in ways that you wouldn't be able to do without it.

I recently heard something explaining the law of income. I loved it so much that I want to recap it for you. Here goes. The law of income states that the more people you reach, the more income you’re going to make. Think of people in professions who give value to millions of people! For example, NFL players. And then you have other professions that are amazing (and so so important) like nurses, teachers and so many others. I think it is safe to say that they actually give more value to the people they reach, but their reach is no where near the extent of that of an NFL player, and as an outcome, it shows in how much they make. The law of income isn't always fair, but it's a law, and no matter how much we like it, it's there. - May you continue to give value to your tribe, and as an outcome, your tribe will grow. As a byproduct, so will your income. || For more on the law of income, check out Lori Harder's podcast #221
